Emory University's Zahra Dawson earned her school-record tying 104^th career doubles victory, teaming with sophomore Gabrielle Clark to win their quarterfinal match at the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships and advance to the semifinals in Cary, NC.

Dawson matched the doubles victory record set by former Eagle Mary Ellen Gordon (2000-04).  No other member of the Emory women's tennis program has won more than 93 doubles matches during a career.

Clark and Dawson, seeded second in the doubles draw, bested Alyssa Roberg and Courtney Lawless of Whitman College in straight sets, winning 6-2, 6-2.  Emory's duo will face Nandita Krishnan and Haley Hogan of Johns Hopkins University in the semifinals on Saturday, following the completion of the singles competition.  Should Clark and Dawson win, they will play for the D-III Doubles Championship later in the day on Saturday.

This will be the second meeting of the season between the top-pairings from Emory and Johns Hopkins.  The doubles teams faced each other during a dual match between the two schools on March 21^st, with the Eagles coming away with an 8-6 win.

The victory was made more impressive by the fact that it was the third match of the day for Clark, who won both of her singles matches on Friday to advance to the title match of the singles draw on Saturday at 9:00 AM.

An Emory pairing has advanced to the finals of the NCAA doubles draw in each of the last two years.  In 2010, Dawson teamed with former Eagle Lorne McManigle to finish second in the nation, while Clark and McManigle finished second in 2011.
