Emory University freshman Beatrice Rosen helped lead the fourth-ranked Eagles to a 9-0 win over NCAA Division II Clayton State University in the team’s opening match of the 2013 spring season.  Rosen, ranked ninth in the Atlantic South Region, was dominant as the Eagles’ third singles player, earning a 6-0, 6-0 win over the Lakers’ Zinnia Leamana, the team’s top-ranked player (13^th in the Division II Southeast Region).  She teamed will freshman Madison Gordon to earn a victory in the third doubles match as well, as the duo defeated Clayton State’s Charlotte Fabricius and Raluca Pavel 8-5.  Rosen improved to 6-4 in singles play and to 3-8 in doubles action this year, as Emory ended a five-match losing streak to Clayton State with the shutout win.
