Freshman (2012-13):

Gordon made an immediate impact on the Eagles’ lineup during her first season with the team.  The freshman finished the year with a 19-8 record in singles play, including a 5-1 record as the team’s fourth singles player and a 14-5 mark overall during the spring.  Gordon and partner Jordan Wylie ended the year as the Atlantic South Region’s sixth-ranked doubles pairing, going 15-7 during the spring.  She earned all-University Athletic Association (UAA) First Team acclaim for her performance both as Emory’s fifth singles player and as part of the second doubles duo.  In the fall, Gordon teamed with freshman Annette Sullivan to advance to the semifinals of the ITA South Regional as the fourth-seeded duo in the draw.  In the singles tournament, she advanced to the round of 32 before falling in three sets to the tournament’s ninth-overall seed.  Gordon opened her career by winning four-straight singles matches, including three at the Atlanta Classic.

Played for the Horace Mann School tennis team for four seasons, serving as the captain her junior and senior years... Was named to the All-Bronx team by the New York post her junior and senior years, and was all-league all four years of her high school career... Was coached in high school by Marco Cacopardo... Ranked as a three-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.netWas also a four-year varsity basketball player in high school, earning all-Bronx recognition her sophomore, junior and senior years... Was a 1,000-point scorer and served as the basketball team captain her junior and senior seasons.
