The Emory University women's tennis team improved to 3-1 on the season with a win on Saturday morning, battling back from a 2-1 doubles deficit to defeat the 18th-ranked University of the South 6-3 at the Woodruff P.E. Center.
Emory fell in two of the three doubles matches, with the only victory coming from freshman Beatrice Rosen and junior Brenna Kelly in the third doubles match, as the duo won 8-6 over their counterparts.
However, Emory was able to clean-up in singles play, winning five of the six contests.
With the loss, Sewanee dropped to 3-1 on the season.
The Eagles will be back in action Sunday, March 3rd at the University of Alabama – Birmingham for a 1:00 PM ET match against the Division I opponent.
