Third-Ranked Eagles to Close Regular Season against 16th-Ranked Generals

The third-ranked Emory University women's tennis team will close out its 2013 regular season on Saturday, May 4th with a 1:00 PM match against 16th-ranked Washington and Lee University at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.  Saturday will also mark 'Senior Day' for the Eagles, as the squad will honor its lone graduating player, Jordan Wylie, prior to the start of the match.

Wylie, a two-time all-American, will enter Saturday's match ranked 17th in school history with 68 singles wins.  She has been named to the all-conference team each of her four years on the squad, including a first team berth as the third singles player this season.

Fresh off winning the team's 24th University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in 26 seasons, the Eagles, ranked third in Division III and first in the Atlantic South Region, will enter the match with an overall record of 13-4 this season.  Emory is also 6-1 at home this season, and 9-2 against Division III opponents this season.

Washington & Lee will also be gearing up for the NCAA Tournament, after earning an automatic bid with a victory at last weekend's Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament.  The Generals are 18-5 this season, including a 4-1 mark in road matches.

Results and a recap of the match will be posted to EmoryAthletics.com following the completion of competition on Saturday.
