NCAA D-III Women's Tennis Championships Bracket

The fourth-ranked Emory University women's tennis team has been chosen as one of the 50 competing teams in the 2013 NCAA Division III Championships, and will serve as a host site for the first-three rounds of the tournament tentatively scheduled for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May 10-12).

After receiving a first-round bye, the Eagles (14-4) will play the winner of the first-round contest between Agnes Scott College (12-5) and Trinity (TX) University (10-14) on Saturday.  On the other side of the bracket, No. 16 Washington and Lee (18-7) and Methodist University (20-2) will play in the first round on Friday, with the winner meeting 15th-ranked University of the South (18-5) on Saturday in the second round.

The winners of the second-round matches will play each other in the third round of the tournament on Sunday, with the victor advancing to the May 20th quarterfinals of the Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Times for the matches at Emory will be announced later in the week on EmoryAthletics.com.

This is the 29th-consecutive year the Eagles have earned an NCAA Tournament berth, advancing at least as far as the quarterfinals 23 times.  Emory has recorded four-straight top-three finishes, including a third-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Division III Championships.
