Emory University will be in search of its third-straight conference championship and its 26th in the tournament's 28-year history, when the second-ranked Eagles travel to Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida for the 2015 University Athletic Association Women's Tennis Championships, from Thursday, April 23rd through Saturday, April 25th.

Emory (13-3), which was awarded the top-seeded in the tournament, will open play on Thursday at 9:00 am against eighth-seeded New York University (4-4).  The winner of the match will face the victor of the first-round contest between fourth-seeded and nationally 15th-ranked Chicago (11-9) and fifth-seeded and 21st-ranked Case Western Reserve (11-6) in the semifinals at 2:00 pm on Friday.

On the other side of the draw, second-seeded and nationally seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon (13-5) will take on seventh-seeded Rochester (8-7), and third-seeded and 11th-ranked Washington University (16-4) will face sixth-seeded and 27th-ranked Brandeis (10-8).

The championship match is slated for a 9:00 am start on Saturday.

Last year, the Eagles won the UAA Championship with 9-0 wins over NYU in the first round and Chicago in the semifinals, and capped off the title run with an 8-1 win over Carnegie Mellon in the championship match.  Emory will be returning five players who earned all-UAA First Team honors for their singles play at last year's UAA Championships, including juniors Beatrice Rosen and Madison Gordon and sophomores Michelle Satterfield, Melissa Goodman, and Katarina Su.  In addition, Satterfield and Su were each all-UAA First Team doubles honorees in 2014, with Satterfield going on to claim UAA Rookie of the Year honors.

Results and a recap of each of Emory's matches during the tournament will be posted to EmoryAthletics.com at the end of each contest.
