No. 2 Emory Women’s Tennis Selected to NCAA Championships; Will Play Opening Rounds at Sewanee

The Emory University Women's Tennis Team, ranked second in Division III, will make its 31st-consecutive NCAA Championship appearance in 2015, as the team was selected to receive a first-round bye, and will head to the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee for its second and third round matches.

Emory will play its second-round match on Friday, May 8th, facing the winner of Thursday's first-round match between Hanover College (13-2) and Webster College (14-4).  On the other side of the draw, host and 12th-ranked Sewanee (17-5) will play Agnes Scott College (10-4) on Thursday in the first round, with the winner advancing to take on 11th-ranked Washington University (18-5) in the second round on Friday.

The two second-round winners will be on Saturday, May 9th, playing for the right to advance to the NCAA Division III Championship quarterfinals in Mason, Ohio.

The Eagles received an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship Field after winning their 26th University Athletic Association Championship in 28 years last week, and will enter the tournament with a 16-3 overall record, including a 13-1 mark against Division III opposition this season.
