Satterfield & Fuhr Selected to Individual NCAA Women’s Tennis Field

Emory University sophomore Michelle Satterfield was selected to compete in the singles competition of the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, and will be joined by freshman Anna Fuhr in the draw for the doubles competition.

Satterfield, a 2014 All-American and currently ranked seventh in the Atlantic South Region, will be making her first-career appearance in the singles draw, and her second-straight doubles appearance, after finishing in the semifinals last season.  She is 13-6 in singles matches this season and 41-13 overall for her career, while holding a 13-10 doubles mark this year, including a 4-4 mark with Fuhr.

Fuhr, who will be making her first NCAA Championship appearance, earned all-America honors in the fall for her doubles play at the USTA/ ITA Small College Nationals.  She is 17-14 overall in doubles matches this season, and is currently ranked fourth in the region in doubles play with Satterfield.

The draws for the individual championships consist of 32 singles players and 16 doubles pairings.  Individual competition will be held from May 21st – 23rd at the Lidner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

Emory, ranked second in Division III and 16-3 overall this year, will begin team play at the NCAA Championships in Sewanee, Tennessee on Friday at 2:00 pm CT against the winner of the first round match between Webster and Hanover.
