Freshman Taylor Cosme defeated #2 Ariana Iranpour from the University of Chicago in comeback fashion on Saturday morning to win the Division III ITA National Small College Championships Third Place Match at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina.

After falling in the first set 6-3, Cosme rallied back and won the next to sets 6-3, 6-1 to claim the victory. 

With the win, Cosme finishes an impressive Emory debut during the fall season, going 11-2 overall in singles matches and winning the ITA Fall South Regional title in addition to today's third place finish at the ITA national tournament.

Cosme and the rest of her Eagle teammates will return to the court on February 13th for the start of the spring season when they face Washington and Sewanee in Sewanee, TN.
