Beatrice Rosen Garners CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

WOMEN'S ALL-DISTRICT SELECTIONS - FULL LIST

Emory University senior women's tennis player Beatrice Rosen has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team, based on a combination of her athletic and academic achievements during her career as an Eagle. It is the second consecutive season she has earned the distinction.

By virtue of being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, Rosen will be placed on the ballot for the Academic All-America Team.  The first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Tuesday, June 7th.

The Manhattan Beach, CA native is 19-8 for the top-ranked Eagles this season including an 11-3 mark at no.4 singles and is 8-1 in doubles play. She was named the UAA Athlete of the Week for the fifth time in her career earlier this season after picking up two singles victories and one doubles win against Georgia Gwinnett and Berry College. In April, Rosen was named the McCord Award recipient at the annual Emory Athletics Banquet which is presented for outstanding career or season performance in an individual-based sport by a male and female varsity athlete.

In her career, she is a two-time ITA All-American, the 2014 ITA Fall South Regional Singles Champion, a three-time All-UAA First Team selection, and was named the UAA Rookie of the Year and ITA Atlantic South Region Rookie of the Year during her freshman season. She has amassed 80 career singles victories, going 80-35 overall, which places her fifth on the Emory all-time wins list.

In the classroom, Rosen owns a 3.86 grade-point average as a Journalism and Psychology dual major and is a three-time UAA All-Academic selection.

Rosen and the top-ranked Eagles begin their quest for a seventh national championship in program history this Saturday as they face the winner of Methodist and John Carroll at 10:00 AM in Lexington, VA.
