Harding and Su Seasons Come to a Close in NCAA Championships Quarterfinals

Sophomore Bridget Harding and junior Katarina Su both concluded their respective seasons on Friday in the NCAA Individual Championships at Stowe Stadium on the campus of Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

In doubles action, the Emory duo reached the quarterfinals of the draw but fell to the second-seeded team from Williams, Juli Raventos and Linda Shin, in three sets 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 on Friday evening. Harding and Su finish the season with a 24-9 record playing together.

Earlier on Friday, Harding competed in the quarterfinals as well in the singles competition after picking up a pair of victories on Thursday. Harding was upended in the match by Pomona-Pitzer's Caroline Casper in three sets, 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-0. The Northport, NY native ends her sophomore campaign with a 24-12 record in singles, her second straight season with at least 20 victories (27-4 as a freshman).

The pair of defeats close out the 2015-16 season for the Eagles. Emory claimed its second national title in the past three seasons and the seventh overall in program history on Wednesday evening with a 5-4 victory over Williams. The Eagles finished with 28 wins on the year (28-5) tying the school record and previously this season, the team won its fourth straight and 27th overall University Athletic Association Championship.
