The Emory University women's tennis program took home a fifth place finish at the 2024 ITA Indoor National Championships after defeating the MIT Engineers 4-0.

The Eagles got a hot start on the doubles side with a pair of convincing wins to claim the lone doubles point. The powerful duo of sophomore Emily Kantrovitz and senior Ana Cristina Perez started the day taking their doubles match with a 6-1 decision on court one.

Sophomore Iris Berman and junior Eliza McPherron secured the doubles point with a 7-5 win on court two sending the Eagles to singles to finish the day.

Freshman Yanire Marte continues to shine in her rookie season winning the first singles match of the day for the Eagles with a 6-0, 6-2 straight set win on court six.

Just moments late, Berman followed with a 6-0, 6-1 straight set victory on court five giving Emory their third point in the match. Fellow sophomore Izzy Antanavicius finished the win for the Eagles taking her singles match on court four with a 6-2, 6-4 decision.

The Eagles will take a trip to the west coast next weekend to face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday, March 10 at 1:00 PM.
