The No. 5 ranked Emory University women's tennis team has been selected to the 2024 NCAA Championships as announced Monday afternoon.
The Eagles were one of nine Pool C selections as they earn the selection into the 49-team field. The USA South champions North Carolina Wesleyan (12-6) will host the opening rounds and welcome Allegheny Mountain champion Pitt.-Greensburg (12-2), SCAC champion Trinity (15-4) and at-large selection Christopher Newport (13-5) May 10-12.
The opening rounds wills begin on Friday, May 10 with Emory scheduled to face the winner of NC Wesleyan-Pitt.-Greensburg on Saturday. The winner of the five-team pod will advance to the finals of the national championships held May 20-23 in St. Louis, Missouri.
The selection marks the Eagles' 39th consecutive tournament appearance, the most of any Division III program.
Along with team selections, individual selections to the NCAA Championships will be announced on Wednesday, May 8.
