Scott Briggs joined the Emory University women's tennis team's staff as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the 2011 spring season.
Briggs brings a wealth of coaching experience to Emory, serving as the Associate Head Coach of the Davidson College men's tennis team from 2000 - 2006, and as the team's interim head coach in 2005. He has also served as a volunteer assistant coach for Wake Forest University (2006-07) North Carolina State University (2007-09).
Briggs is a 1999 graduate from Davidson, where he served as the team captain as was named the Most Valuable Player. He was a two-time first team all-Southern Conference selection, and the Southern Conference Doubles Champion in 1997.
Briggs has also worked as a biomedical research technician at the Duke University Medical Center (1999-00), and as a consumer and brand marketing intern for Reynolds American Inc. (2010). He is currently attending Emory's Goizueta Business School, where he is working towards his Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing Strategy and Brand Management.
