Julie Mavity joined Emory prior to the 2003 spring season.

She earned recognition as an NCAA Division II singles All-American once and as a doubles All-American four times during her collegiate tennis career at Abilene Christian University (Texas).

In college, she achieved a 4.0 grade point average and was named the valedictorian of her graduating class. Mavity brings coaching experience as a private instructor and from tennis camps in Colorado and Texas.

She is pursuing graduate studies at Emory University's Candler School of Theology.
