Title: Assistant Coach

Tommy Valentini joined the Emory University women's tennis program in the fall of 2004 after two years as the assistant women's coach at the University of Nebraska.

As a collegiate competitor and team captain at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.), Valentini helped his team to three consecutive top-four finishes at the NCAA Division III national team championships and the 2002 Intercollegiate Tennis Association national indoor team championship. In 2001, he was the ITA regional winner of the Arthur Ashe Award for leadership and sportsmanship.

A native of Duluth, Minn., Valentini received his bachelor's degree in religion and honors history from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2002. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Theological Studies program at Emory University's Candler School of Theology.
