What I like most about Emory: The academics and the weather.

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The ice bath in the training room.

My favorite class at Emory and why: The Making of Modern Latin America because the subject matter is fascinating and history is always relevant to the present.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: My teammates and coaches

My most memorable Emory athletic moment: Winning the indoor 3,000-meter run at the conference championship during my sophomore year

What I like most about Emory: My girls on the cross country team

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The Clairmont pool!

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: The St. Louis Cardinals... I still do a little bit

My favorite class at Emory and why: Corporate Finance because Professor Green made the class very entertaining

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: My friends because they are always there for me during tough times

Any pre-meet/competition rituals:  Balance bar or luna bar and Gatorade.  I also love our team "Grrrrr!!!" cheer.

A word to describe me when I am competing: Intense

A word to describe me away from the athletic venue: Free-Spirited.

My most memorable athletic moment was: I just finished sprinting my hardest in the finals of the NCAA Championships and I'm nervous because I can't tell how I finished as a result of being all the way at the lane farthest to the right.  I thought I finished last and didn't realize I had beat two girls on the opposite side.  So, I'm sitting on the field feeling pretty low and all of a sudden I hear Coach Goss yell "Good job Jane!"  I look up and I see people from Emory trying to hold up there fingers to show me how I placed and I don't have my contacts in. Then my teammate, Katie Anding, yells "Seven," and relief just flooded through my whole body.

My most memorable Emory athletic moment: The Clemson Meet my freshman year when the 4x400 relay I was on qualified for Nationals and shattered the school record. 

What I like most about Emory: The beautiful campus and all the amazing people I know here.

I would like to switch places for the day with: Someone studying abroad in Paris.

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The Quad

Favorite pro athlete:  Lance Armstrong

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: When I was younger I only cared about sports during the Olympics, and the one team I followed was the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team.

My favorite class at Emory and why:  Intro to Sociology.  Sociology is such an amazing field of study and I love analyzing our society and the way it impacts almost every aspect of how we think.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: The fabulous women that I met through my sorority for being there for me, and Coach James Goss for helping me see my potential and succeed on the track.  I don't think I would have attained all I have as an athlete at Emory without him.  

Any pre-meet/competition rituals:  Icing my knees the night before a race.

The sport I would be playing if I wasn't running/on the track and field team: Ultimate Frisbee.

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: John Lennon, Martin Luther King, Oprah.  

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you: "Be happy, take care of yourself, and always pray." ~  Dad.

My most memorable athletic moment was: Winning back-to-back sectional championships with my high school indoor team.

My most memorable Emory athletic moment: The indoor meet at University of Tennessee where I performed well and met Tim Mack, the 2004 Olympic Pole Vault Gold medalist.

What I like most about Emory: Everything

I would like to switch places for the day with: Joe Torre

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The track

Favorite pro athlete:  Derek Jeter

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: The Yankees

My favorite class at Emory and why: Organic Chemistry because I find it interesting and I like my professor.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: Jamie Chan, my freshman RA who was always there when I needed her, and Coach Curtin, who always has my back.

Any pre-meet/competition rituals:  Eating bananas

The sport I would be playing if I wasn't running/on the track and field team: Dance

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: Lou Gehrig, Eleanor Roosevelt and Queen Elizabeth I

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you:
"Make healthy choices!" -My mom

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: I have a subscription to Reader's Digest.  And I kill flies with rubber bands.
