Prior to Emory:
Competed for the Montclair High School Track and Field team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during her junior and senior seasons... Named first team all-league all four years on the team, and earned a second-team all-county spot in the 55 hurdles in 2007... Was the league 55 hurdle champion in 2006... Coached by Raymond Spivey... Also played soccer in high school.
