Emory University senior Lauren Attiah was part of two school-record breaking efforts at the Auburn Tiger Classic last weekend. Attiah became the first woman in school history to surpass the 12-meter mark in the triple jump, breaking her own school record with a leap of 12.03 meters. It was the fourth-best jump by a Division III athlete this season, and good for a seventh-place finish at the meet. She ran the second leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which set a school-record with a time of 3:50.18, the second-best mark among D-III squads in 2012, and 11th-best at the meet. Attiah also finished 12th in the long jump with a distance of 5.51 meters (18th in Division III) and 15th as the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay team with a time of 48.13 seconds (seventh in Division III).
