Women's 4x400m Relay Finishes Sixth Overall at NCAA DIII Indoor Championships

The Emory University Women's Track and Field team closed out competition at the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships Saturday afternoon as the 4x400m Relay team finished sixth overall in the event.

With their sixth place finish in a time of 3:53.13, junior Erica Goldman, sophomores Dilys Osei, Ariana Newhouse and freshman Kaitlyn Leonard gained All-America honors becoming just the third indoor 4x400m relay team in program history to earn All-America acclaim. The group's sixth place finish was Emory's second best finish ever behind 2016's relay team which finished second overall and also featured Osei, Newhouse and Goldman.

The Eagles now turn their attention to the outdoor season that begins next weekend, March 17th and 18th, with the Emory Invitational. Competition from outside the Woodruff PE Center gets underway Friday afternoon.
