Freshman Nyla Lindo of the Emory University Women's Track and Field team has been chosen as the University Athletic Association Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. It is the second time Lindo has earned the honor so far this season.
Lindo improved her standing in the triple jump over the weekend, climbing to first in the UAA and 14th nationally with her mark of 11.20m. She finished 11th overall in the event at the VertKlasse Meeting and was the top DIII finisher. Lindo also competed in the long jump (4.84m) and the high jump (1.43m) at the meet.
Emory returns to competition this weekend with the Berry Field Day Invitational at Berry College and the Tiger Classic at Auburn University.
