The Emory University Track and Field teams will be sending eight athletes to Tufts University this Saturday, March 4th, in a final opportunity to improve their times before the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships on March 10th and 11th at North Central College in Naperville, IL.

Representing the Eagles at the meet will be junior Erica Goldman, sophomores Dani Bland, Dilys Osei, Ariana Newhouse and freshman Kaitlyn Leonard from the women’s team and juniors Benjamin Rogin, Max Brown and Shane Sullivan on the men’s side.

Bland is set to compete in two events on Saturday, looking to improve upon her national standing in both the 60m Dash (6th, 7.72 (converted from 55m)) and 200m Dash (18th, 25.55). She claimed All-UAA finishes in both events last weekend at Brandeis. Osei, Leonard, Newhouse and Goldman will compete in the 4x400m Relay as they try to improve their time of 3:57.22 that ranks 17th in Division III. The group medaled at the UAA Championships this past Sunday, taking second in the event.

For the men, Sullivan will run in the 3000m event as he enter competition with the 26th best mark in the country at 8:28.69. Brown heads into the meet looking to clock in a faster time in the mile as he stands 29th nationally at 4:16.29. Rogin will race in the 60m Hurdles trying to improve his time of 8.34 (55m) that is 32nd in the country. All three performers are coming off All-UAA performances in their respective events last weekend.
