Getting To Know

GETTING TO KNOW ...

Name: Naomi Schuster

Favorite Food: Any kind of chocolate. I also love peanut butter and apples.

Favorite Movie: Love Actually

Favorite Television Show: Unwrapped. It's on the Food Network

Favorite Musical Artist: Simon and Garfunkel

A word to describe me when I am competing: Intense

A word to describe me away from the athletic venue: Impatient

My most memorable athletic moment was: Winning a high point trophy in my county swim meet when I was 8 years old.

My most memorable Emory athletic moment: I have not been here very long, but I guess I would have to say making it to the top of the hill climb at camp.

What I like most about Emory: I like the people, the environment, the sense of community, and all of the opportunities this school has to offer.

I would like to switch places for the day with: I really don't know

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The grassy area between the DUC and Alabama

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: I didn't follow any particular teams. I liked watching the Olympics though

My favorite class at Emory and why: Arab-Israeli conflict because the professor is incredible and I learn so much during every lecture.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: My RA and SA's have been really helpful whenever I have had any questions.

Any pre-meet/competition rituals: Nothing really, but I can't sit still!

The sport I would be playing if I wasn't on the track and field/cross country teams: I would probably be swimming on an intramural team or just working out and running on my own.

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you: You can't always get what you want but if you try real hard you just might find you get what you need. My dad always told me this but it comes from a song.

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: I climbed Mount Ranier when I was 15.
