Cross Country Championship Women's Results
The No. 32-ranked Emory women's cross country team finished fifth
out of eight teams at the 23rd Annual University Athletic
Association Championships today. This year's competition was
held at Squire Valleevue Farm in Hunting Valley, Ohio, and hosted
by Case Western Reserve University.
Taking home the crown was Washington University with 37 points
while Case Western posted a runner-up finish with 59 points.
Emory finished the competition with 139 points.
Leading the Eagles' effort and crossing the finish line in 11th
place overall in the 81-runner field was junior Natalie Fenn who
covered the 6K course in a time of 24:16. Fenn's effort
enabled her to garner Second Team All-UAA honors. Sophomore
Tess Gallegos finished 22nd with a showing of 24:31 while senior
Rebecca Flink clocked in at 24:41, placing her 27th. Rounding
out the team's scorers were freshmen Calley Edwards (25:19) and
Melanie Frank (25:27).
The field's No. 1 finisher was Taryn Surtees of Washington
University with a performance of 22:42.
Emory returns to action Nov. 14 when it competes at the NCAA
South/Southeast Regionals in Greensboro.
