Eagles Place 85 on UAA Spring All-Academic Team

Emory University placed 85 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Spring All-Academic Team which was released Tuesday afternoon by the league office. 558 student-athletes in total from the eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.

To be named to the UAA Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.

The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.

The 85 Emory Eagles recognized were spread out over seven sports that compete traditionally in the sports with women’s outdoor track and field leading the way with 29 selections, which tied for first among UAA programs.
