Emory University placed 105 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Winter All-Academic Team which was released Wednesday morning by the league office. 857 student-athletes in total from the eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.
To be named to the UAA Fall All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.
The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
The 105 Eagles recognized were spread out over six sports that compete traditionally in the winter with women’s indoor track & field leading the way with 27 selections. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, neither Emory nor the other seven member institutions competed in athletic competition during the winter season.
