Emory Athletics Weekly Preview - October 25th - 31st

The Eagles Weekly Preview for October 25th – 31st. This preview is to serve as a weekly snapshot of all upcoming Emory athletic events for the coming week.

Men's Golf:

The No. 3 ranked Eagles, winners of two consecutive tournaments including the Golfweek Invitational where they defeated four of the top five teams in the GCAA Top 25 Poll, travel to Rome, GA for the Chick-fil-A Invitational for their last tournament of the fall semester. The Eagles will travel two teams for this tournament. Representing the first team are Jackson Klutznick, Josh Qian, Tony Li, Logan Lowery, and Michael Burry while the second team is made up by Nicholas Nautiyal, Prayaag Oruganti, Nick Paschetto, Tarun Hoskere, and Grant Drogosch. The 36-hole tournament will be played at the 6740 yard, par-72 Stonebridge Golf Club course.

Women's Tennis:

The Emory women's tennis team will travel to Spartanburg, SC this weekend for the Wofford Tournament which marks their last weekend of competition of the semester.

Volleyball:

Emory's volleyball team closes regular season play this weekend as they host the Emory National Invite. The No. 12 ranked Eagles (19-3) will ride a six match win streak into their three matches for the weekend (two Friday, one Saturday). Emory's first opponent is regional foe Hendrix (12-9) and will be followed up by Birmingham-Southern (15-8). The Eagles will close the weekend with a rematch against No. 15 ranked Berry (19-2). Prior to the start of the match against BSC Friday night, the Eagles will recognize their senior class of Lauren Bandera, Charlese Blair, Ashley Brennan, Tara Martin, Roisin O'Dowd and Claire Yohann.

Women's Soccer:

Emory's women's soccer team looks to ride their current hot streak into a vital weekend of conference play against Brandeis and NYU. The No. 20 ranked Eagles (11-3-1, 2-2 UAA) match up against Brandeis (8-4-2, 1-3 UAA) on Friday evening before travelling to New York for their showdown against NYU (7-6, 0-4 UAA) on Sunday.

Men's Soccer:

The No. 14 ranked Emory men's soccer team looks to move to first in the conference with matches against Brandeis and NYU this weekend. The Eagles (8-1-4, 2-0-2 UAA) face off against conference opponent Brandeis (4-7-2, 1-2-1 UAA) on Friday evening before they play their marquee game against NYU (9-3-1, 3-1 UAA) on Sunday as the two battle for conference supremacy.

Cross Country:

The Emory men's and women's cross country teams travel to Rochester, NY this weekend to start its postseason at the UAA Championships. The women's cross country team goes into the weekend ranked 18th in the nation and are the third highest-ranked team in the UAA behind No. 5 ranked WashU and No. 17 ranked Carnegie Mellon. The men's cross country team goes into the weekend ranked 9th in the nation and are the highest-ranked team in the conference.
