Thirty-three Emory University student-athletes were named to the 13th-annual University Athletic Association President's Council Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the conference on Thursday. This is the first year since 2019-20 that this award has been given out as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2021-22 team comprises a record 166 student-athletes representing all UAA member institutions across 10 men's sports and nine women's sports. To achieve this recognition, a student-athlete is required to earn First Team All-Association honors and must carry a 3.50 or greater cumulative grade point average through the playing season of their sport. Student-athletes must have completed one full year at that institution to qualify. The 33 selections for the Eagles were the second most amongst all UAA institutions.
