Emory University placed 74 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Team which was announced Wednesday morning by the league office. 549 student-athletes in total from the eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.
To be named to the UAA Fall All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete at least one full year of college study at their current institution and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.
The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Communicators for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
The 74 Eagles recognized were spread out over five sports that compete traditionally in the fall with men's cross country leading the way with 19 selections.
