Derrick Morrison joined the Emory University Athletics Department in September of 2016 as Coordinator of Recreation and Athletic Operations.

Derrick oversees the laundry services for all Emory varsity and club sport team uniforms.  In addition, he oversees all student staff at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.

Morrison earned his Bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University in history while also receiving a minor in athletic coaching in 2014.  He then obtained his Master’s degree in sports administration from Central Michigan in 2016. While at CMU, he was the Facilities and Game Operations Intern and Assistant Game Administrator, where he was responsible for setting up and breaking down football, gymnastics, field hockey, women’s basketball and baseball home events.

A native of AuGres, Michigan, Derrick enjoys hunting and fishing, playing golf, and spending time with family and his wife, Alyssa.
