Emory University senior Brian Cournoyer pitched two and a third scoreless innings of relief during the Eagles' season-opening game against Oglethorpe University.  Cournoyer allowed just two hits and a walk in the contest, while striking out two batters.  After entering the game in the sixth inning with two outs and runners on second and third, the right handed pitcher struck out the first batter he faced on three pitches to end the threat.  Cournoyer also picked off a runner in the eighth inning.  Despite his performance, the Eagles fell to the Stormy Petrels 13-8.
