Senior (2010):

Cournoyer put together a career-year out of the bullpen with a 1.97 earned run average, the 12th-lowest single season total in Emory history and good for 16th among all Division III pitchers in 2010.  He finished the year with a career-best three wins and a 3-2 overall record, while recording 30 strikeouts and just 10 walks in 45.2 innings and a .296 batting average against.  For his efforts, he was named to the all-University Athletic Association (UAA) second team, the first postseason honor of his career.  Left-handed batters hit just .212 (11-for-52) against Cournoyer during the season.  He did not allow an earned run in 11 of his 18 appearances during the year, and allowed a run or less in 15 of his games.  Cournoyer's first win of the season came against SUNY Cortland, when he pitched four and a third scoreless innings of relief, allowing just two hits to the eventual National Runners-Up.  He also threw four and a third scoreless innings of relief against Case Western Reserve University on March 13th, allowing just five hits and striking out five batters. 

Junior (2009):

Cournoyer appeared in 14 games for the Eagles in 2009, 13 of which were relief efforts.  He recorded a 3.92 earned run average while holding opponents to a .243 batting average.  Cournoyer struck out 11 batters in 18.1 innings pitched, and held left-handed batters to a .143 batting average (two-for-14).

Sophomore (2008):

Cournoyer pitched in 10 games for the Eagles during the season, making one start.  He recorded a 1-2 record and a 8.66 earned run average over the campaign, striking out six batters in 17.2 innings pitched.  The junior's best outing of the season came on April 1st, when he pitched two hitless innings against Oglethorpe University, as part of a 15-10 Emory win.  Opponents hit just .250 (10-for-40) off Cournoyer with the bases empty, and .200 (4-for-20) with two outs.

Freshman (2007):

Cournoyer appeared in 10 games and made two starts for the Eagles in 2007, after transferring to Emory prior to the start of the season.  He finished his inaugural Emory season with a 1-0 record and a 4.72 earned run average, striking out 11 batters in 13.1 innings pitched.  The sophomore earned a victory in his first Emory start, pitching four scoreless innings against Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) at the University Athletic Association tournament.  Cournoyer pitched a perfect ninth inning against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
