Freshman (2010):

Smith appeared in 21 games as a freshman, making 15 starts behind the plate for Emory.  He finished the year batting .322 with 11 runs scored and 15 runs batted in.  Out of his 19 hits, three were doubles.  Smith threw out seven base runners during the season, more than any other Emory catcher, while making just one error for a .990 fielding percentage.  During the Eagles' 15-7 win over LaGrange College on March 30th, he went four-for-five with three runs scored, three runs batted in and a double.  Smith finished the campaign with four multiple-hit games and three multiple-RBI games, and ended the year on a four-game hitting streak.
