Senior (2010):

Jones hit .291 during his senior year with Emory, starting all 40 games he played in, while driving in 29 runs, scoring 42 (141st among D-III players), and hitting a team-best 15 doubles (74th among D-III players).  Jones played stellar defense at first base as well, recording a .990 fielding percentage, while committing just four errors during the campaign.  He recorded 15 multi-hit games during the season, including four-hit games against DePauw University and Hendrix College.  Jones hit .311 (37-for-119) against right-handed pitching during the season, .463 (19-for-41) when leading off an inning, and .340 (17-for-50) with runners in scoring position.  He ended his two-year Emory career batting .325 with 41 RBIs over 74 games, and his career .984 fielding percentage is the 13th-best in school history.

Junior (2010):

Jones finished his first season with Emory with a .372 batting average, the fourth-best average by an Emory hitter during the campaign.  Starting 30 of the 34 games he played in, Jones split time between first base, second base, third base and as the designated hitter, recording a .971 fielding percentage.  He scored 26 runs during the season with 11 runs batted in, while stealing seven bases and getting caught just twice.  Jones also compiled a 12-game hitting streak, matching the best during the season by an Eagle, from March 4th through April 1st.  His .387 batting average (12-for-31) against left-handed pitching led all Emory players with more than 10 at-bats against southpaws.  For his efforts during the season, Jones was named to the all-UAA second team.

2010 All-UAA Second Team Infield

Prior to Emory:

Transferred from Truett McConnell College, where he played on the baseball team for two seasons... Made 27 starts for the Bears in 2009, batting .317 with 16 RBIs... Was a GJCAA Gold Glove at second base in 2009... Played for four seasons on the Brunswick High School baseball team, serving as a team co-captain his senior year... Was an all-region honoree during his junior and senior years... Won the Coach's Award his senior year... Coached by Jimmy Brown... Also played basketball in high school, where he earned all-region honors his senior year.
