Emory Baseball Wins Third-Straight with 11-6 Victory over Berry

Emory University starter Connor Dillman pitched six shutout innings, and freshman second baseman Dylan Eisner drove in three runs, as the Eagles claimed an 11-6 victory at Berry College on Tuesday night.

The win marked the third in a row for the Eagles, who improved to 16-13 for the year, while the loss dropped Berry's record to 13-18.

Dillman limited the Vikings to just three hits and two walks over his six innings of work, striking out two batters in the process.  He improved to 3-3 on the season with the victory, while lowering his season ERA to a team-best 2.32.

Emory jumped out to an early lead in the game, scoring a pair of runs in the first inning, before blowing the game open with a six-run second frame.  Emory totaled 11 runs on 11 hits, including two hits apiece from Wes Peacock, Brandon Hannon, Eisner, and Jordan Selbach.

Despite seeing his 14-game hitting streak come to a close, junior shortstop Jared Kahn drove in a pair of runs in the game for Emory.  Daniel Iturrey and Chris Slivka each had RBIs during the win for the Eagles as well.

Emory will be back in action this weekend with a 2:00 PM game at Georgia Gwinnett College.
