Emory University sophomore Tyler McLoughlin was recognized as the University Athletic Association Hitter of the Week Monday evening. It is the second time this season McLoughlin has earned the weekly honor.

McLoughlin went 8-for-15 with three home runs to lead the Eagles to a 3-1 series win at NYU this past weekend. McLoughlin collected two hits in three of the games and enjoyed a tremendous Saturday where he smacked three HRs and drove in seven in the twinbill sweep. McLoughlin closed out his fine weekend with a stellar pitching performance Sunday afternoon, tossing six shutout innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win.

The Eagles will be back on the diamond this weekend in St. Louis, MO as they take on WashU in a four-game set. First pitch of the opener is scheduled for 4:00 PM Friday afternoon.
