Aidan Conley & JT Rattigan Collect First Career UAA Athlete of the Week Honors

Emory University freshman baseball standouts Aidan Conley and JT Rattigan were honored as University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week as chosen by the league office Monday afternoon.

The rookie duo both collected their first-ever Athlete of the Week honor after helping the Eagles a 4-1 record during the final week of the season, including a 3-1 series win over Brandeis in the UAA finale.

Conley powered the Emory offense across the five games as he went 8-for-16 with 10 RBI. He had at least one RBI in all four games of the Brandeis series including a career-best five RBI in game two of Saturday's doubleheader. Four of his eight hits went for extra bases as he collected three doubles and one triple. Conley finished second on the team with six walks across the five games and went 4-for-5 in stolen base attempts. He also sang a beautiful 10/10 rendition of the national anthem prior to Saturday's doubleheader.

Rattigan twirled a complete game shutout as the Eagles defeated the Judges 10-0 in seven innings in Friday's series opener. Rattigan allowed just five singles in his seven innings of work, facing five over the minimum, and struck out four as he earned his team-leading seventh win of the season. The seven innings marked a season-long outing for the first-year as he completed his first season in Blue & Gold.
