Senior (2004):
Nixon finished 36th out of 120 golfers at the NCAA championships. He was named to the all-region team for the first time in his career and to the all-conference team for the second time. Nixon finished fourth in the Georgia Cup, based on season-long performances in selected tournament by NCAA Division III golfers.Nixon recorded the fourth-best season scoring average, and a personal best, in school history with his season stroke average of 75.05 shots per round. He shot under 77 in 14 of his 20 rounds this season. Nixon's season-best round was 69 at the Pfeiffer Invitational, and his best score for a 36-hole tournament was 140, tying the second-best score in school history. He finished in the top 10 in three tournaments and the top 20 in six tournaments. Nixon's highest finish overall was third at the conference championships. He had a season won-loss record of 667-171. His career scoring average, 76.96, places him fifth all-time in the Emory record book.

Junior (2003):
Nixon earned all-tournament recognition by finishing second out of 117 golfers at the Williams Invitational (Mass.), the best finish of his career. In the first round of the Williams Invitational, Nixon shot a 70, the second-lowest score of the tournament and the best of his career. He also earned all-tournament recognition at the Emory Fall Invitational with a third-place finish out of 32 golfers. His score of 146 at the Emory Fall Invitational was the third-lowest total on the team for a 36-hole tournament this season and ranks as the 16th lowest in school history.

Sophomore (2002):
Nixon led the team with seven wins against golfers ranked in the top 20 nationally, according to Golfstat. He shot a season-low 73 in both rounds of the Emory Invitational to finish sixth out of 87 golfers. In that tournament, Nixon finished ahead of 11 golfers who would later finish in the top 35 at the NCAA Division III national championships, including four golfers who finished in the top 10 at the NCAA tournament. Nixon also shot a season-low 73 in the first round of the conference championships to tie for the first-day lead before finishing fourth.
