(May 19) -- Junior Jeremy Evans was Emory's top
performer at the NCAA D-III Championships, held May 13-16.
Evans finished in a tie for 28th place in the 120-player field,
posting a score of 303 (78-76-78-71) with his final round mark
representing the best effort by any Emory linkster in the 72-hole
event.
Evans concluded the year by turning in a team-best 75.2 stroke
per-round average.
(Apr. 9) -- Junior Patrick Cohn was the Eagles' top performer at
the Emory Spring Invitational, played Apr. 7-8 at the Stonemount
Course at the Stone Mountain Golf Club.
Cohn tied for fifth place in the 81-player field with a six-over
par 146. Cohn fired consecutive rounds of 73 and in the
process lowered his per-round average to 75.3, good for a
first-place tie with Jeremy Evans.
(Mar. 24) -- Junior Patrick Cohn was the Eagles' top performer
at the Jekyll Island Invitational, played Mar. 21-23.
Cohn tied for 18th place in the 144-player field with a nine-over
par 225. After registering an opening round of 77, Cohn came
through with scores of 73 and 75 over the last two days of
action.
(Mar. 17) -- Junior Jeremy Evans was the Eagles' top performer at the Rome News-Tribune Invitational, played Mar. 10-11.
Evans tied for 25th place in the 112-player field with a
seven-over par 149. He posted a 75 during the opening round
and finished with a second-day effort of 74.
The Eagles finished 11 of 20 teams at the Rome News-Tribune
Invitational.
(Mar. 7) -- Emory sophomore John Ross has been
selected as the Eagles' Golfer of the Week following his
performance at the Callaway Gardens Collegiate which was played
Mar. 3-4.
Ross, along with teammate Jeremy Evans, tied for seventh place in
the 83-player field with a 36-hole score of 151. Ross shot an
opening-round 73, the best effort turned in by an Emory player in
the tourney, and followed that with a second-day score of 78.
(Feb. 27) -- Emory junior Patrick Cohn has been
selected as the Eagles' Golfer of the Week following his
performance at the Pine Needles Intercollegiate which was played
Feb. 25-26.
Cohn paced the squad and finished tied for ninth overall out of 55
players posting a two-round score of six-over 148 (72-76).
Patrick's first-day score was his best showing in four rounds this
season which includes a pair of rounds during the fall portion of
the schedule.
(Oct. 25) -- Emory junior Jeremy Evans has been selected as the Eagles' Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Oglethorpe Invitational which was played Oct. 22-23. Evans paced the squad and finished tied for 12th overall out of 63 players posting a two-round score of four-under 146 (69-77). Jeremy's opening-round performance represented the best effort by an Emory player during the fall portion of the schedule. Evans concluded the fall with a team-leading 74.4 strokes per round average.
(Oct. 11) -- Emory junior Jeremy Evans has been selected as the Eagles' Golfer of the Week following his performance at the O'Briant Memorial which was played Oct. 8-9. Evans paced the squad and finished second overall out of 87 players posting a two-round score of two-under 140 (70-70). Evans trailed only medalist Nathaniel James of Washington and Lee who finished at 135. Jeremy's performance was further noteworthy because it ties for third place on Emory's all-time list for the lowest 36-hole score.
(Oct. 4) -- Emory senior Drew Harker has been selected as the Eagles' Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Greensboro College Invitational. Harker shot a 36-hole total of nine-over par 153 (76-77) that placed him in a tie for 23rd place in the 88-player field. Drew's effort paced the Emory individual efforts and helped the squad to a sixth-place tie out of 18 teams.
