Final Results
The No. 8-ranked Emory University golf team finished sixth out of
eight teams at the Lonnie Barton Memorial Invitational. The 36-hole
tournament was held at the 7,016-yard, par-72 Savannah Quarters
Country Club.
The Eagles posted a second-day score of 335 to finish the
competition with a mark of 667. Claiming the team
championship for the second straight year was Longwood University
with a 621 (319-302). Laval University took home runner-up
honors with a 630 (319-311) while Bryant University was third with
a showing of 631 (318-313).
Emory sophomore Ryan Dagerman finished tied for eighth place in the
47-player with an effort of 157 (74-83). Freshman David
Collura rebounded from Monday’s round of 86 to register a 78
today, leaving him tied for 23rd at 164. Senior
Shane Miller (88-85—173), freshman Thomas Mally
(88-89—177) and sophomore Michael Mullavey (84-94—178)
rounded out the Emory contingent.
Emory returns to action on Mar. 19-21 when it competes at the
Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.
