Results
The No. 11-ranked Emory University golf team posted a final round
of 305 on Sunday and recorded an 11th-place finish out
of 27 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The
54-hole event was played at the 6,620-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes
Course on Jekyll Island.
Emory ended the tournament with a team score of 915
(309-301-305) . Taking home the top spot was Methodist
University with an effort of 864 (291-283-301). Huntingdon
College (888) and Greensboro College (892) were second and third,
respectively.
The Eagles’ top shooter was freshman Tae Cho whose 12-over
par 228 (78-71-79) tied for 39th place in the 134-player
field. Sophomore Ryan Dagerman (77-74-78) and freshman Thomas
Mally (72-77-80) each concluded the Invitational with a
229 which was good for 43rd-place tie. Rounding
out the team’s efforts were senior Shane Miller (234) and
sophomore Michael Mullavey (241).
The Eagles’ next action takes place, April 12-13, when they
host the Emory Spring Invitational at Stone Mountain Golf
Course.
