Hello again from Hershey, PA.
It has been a very up and down first two days. On day one of
the Championships, we had extremely tough conditions going off in
the last tee time of the round as well as playing in a steady rain
all afternoon. We did not handle the difficult conditions as
we would have liked and played a poor round. We dug ourselves
a pretty big hole with our effort resulting in a 26th place after
the first 18 holes. With only 23 teams making the cut we were
on the outside looking in.
Needing a good round on Wednesday morning, the guys came out and
stepped up to the challenge. We shot 295, the 4th best round
of the day, and moved up nine spots to a tie for 17th. We
were led by senior Shane Miller, sophomore Ryan Dagerman and
freshman Thomas Mally, all shooting one over par 73's.
Hopefully with the momentum we created today we can continue our
good play over the next two days.
I hope you continue to follow are progress on www.golfstat.com where the scores will be
updated after every hole for the final two rounds.
