The No. 14-ranked Emory University men's golf team returns to
action on Monday and Tuesday (Apr. 11-12) when it hosts the Emory
Spring Invitational. The 36-hole event will be played at the
6,808-yard, par-70, Stonemont Course at Stone Mountain Golf
Club.
As usual, the Emory Spring Invitational features an extremely
talented field that includes five of the top-10 ranked programs in
Division III. Among the squads looking to take home the title
are No. 1. Methodist, No. 3 Guilford, No. 5 Greensboro, No. 6
Olgethorpe and No. 8 Rhodes College. All totaled, 17 teams
will be represented at this year’s Invitational along with 14
individuals.
Competing for the Eagles will be Ryan Dagerman, Shane Miller, Tae
Cho, Thomas Mally and Michael Mullavey. Competing as
individuals will be David Collura, Dan Kmetz and Nick Szem.
The trip out to Stone Mountain will be the Eagles first action
since an 11th-pace finish out of 27 teams at the Jekyll
Island Invitational (Mar. 19-21).
Emory finished seventh out of 14 teams at last year’s
Invitational.
