Eagles' Golf Team Hosts Emory Spring Invitational

Eagles' Golf Team Hosts Emory Spring Invitational

The No. 14-ranked Emory University men's golf team returns to action on Monday and Tuesday (Apr. 11-12) when it hosts the Emory Spring Invitational.  The 36-hole event will be played at the 6,808-yard, par-70, Stonemont Course at Stone Mountain Golf Club.

As usual, the Emory Spring Invitational features an extremely talented field that includes five of the top-10 ranked programs in Division III.  Among the squads looking to take home the title are No. 1. Methodist, No. 3 Guilford, No. 5 Greensboro, No. 6 Olgethorpe and No. 8 Rhodes College.  All totaled, 17 teams will be represented at this year’s Invitational along with 14 individuals.

Competing for the Eagles will be Ryan Dagerman, Shane Miller, Tae Cho, Thomas Mally and Michael Mullavey.  Competing as individuals will be David Collura, Dan Kmetz and Nick Szem.

The trip out to Stone Mountain will be the Eagles first action since an 11th-pace finish out of 27 teams at the Jekyll Island Invitational (Mar. 19-21).

Emory finished seventh out of 14 teams at last year’s Invitational.
