Day 1 Results
The Emory University golf team stands in second place after
the first round of the University Athletic Association
Championships. This year’s 36-hole event is being held
at the 6,615 yard, par-72 Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford,
NY.
The Eagles, ranked 14th nationally, turned in a
opening-day score of 315 and are eight strokes behind New York
University’s effort of 307. Host school Rochester is
third (324) while Carnegie Mellon (325) and Brandeis (341) round
out the field.
Emory sophomore Ryan Dagerman shot the day’s best round, a
two-over par 74. Freshman Thomas Mally turned in a solid
effort, coming up with a 76, tied for sixth in the 25-player
field. Other Eagles on the course include David Collura at
81, Tae Cho with an 83 and Shane Miller at 84.
Terrence Einhorn of Carnegie Mellon is second with 75 strokes. Mike
Liebfried, Matt Ricco, and Gabe Durkin of NYU are all tied for
third with 76s.
The second day of the competition will start just after 9:30 am Monday at Locust Hill.
