Sophomore Jonathan Chen was
Emory’s top performer at Al Jones Memorial Tournament hosted
by UT-Tyler. Chen shot a 36-hole score of 145 (68-77) with his
opening-round effort a career best. In addition, the
three-under 68 tied for the lowest individual round over the
two-day tourney. Chen recorded a fourth-place finish out of
75 players at the event which was played at the 6,944-yard, par-71
Cascades Golf Club. No. 8-ranked Emory finished second out of
14 squads trailing only No. 7-ranked UT-Tyler.
