Emory University senior Ryan Dagerman (Dallas, TX) has been selected by the University Athletic Association as the Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational (Oct. 17-18) in nearby Flowery Branch. It marks the third time during the 2011 fall season and eighth in his career that he has been selected for the honor.
Dagerman helped the No. 8-ranked Eagles to a fifth-place finish out of 17 teams at the 36-hole tourney that was contested at the 6,848-yard, par 71 Royal Lakes Golf Club, registering a runner-up performance in the 98-player with a two-round score of even-par 142 (73-69). His second-round 69 was the best score of any Emory player at the Invitational and the second-lowest effort by an Eagle during the fall portion of the schedule.
Dagerman logged 10 rounds of competition during the fall and turned in a 73.6 strokes-per-round average, tops on the squad.
Emory returns to action Mar. 5-6, 2012, when it competes at the Wynlakes Wynter Nationals in Montgomery, Alabama.
