The No. 13-ranked Emory golf team closed out a strong performance at the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational on Tuesday, posting a fourth-place finish out of 15 squads.  The 36-hole event was played at the 6,848-yard, par-71 Royal Lakes Golf Club in nearby Flowery Branch.

The Eagles registered a final-day score of 297 and concluded play with a two-round score of 600.  No. 1-ranked and host Oglethorpe claimed first place with a 582 (293-289), three shots ahead of No. 2 Methodist University.  Christopher Newport was third with a 597 while No. 11 Greensboro rounded out the top five finishers at 603.
