The No. 10-ranked Emory University golf team returns to action this Saturday and Sunday (Apr. 20-21) when it participates in the 34^th annual Navy Spring Invitational.  The 36-hole event will be held at the 6,611-yard, par-71 Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland.

Emory will be the lone Division III institution competing in the 21-team field.  A host of Division I conferences will represented including three from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.  Other conferences represented include the Patriot League, Ivy League, Colonial Athletic Association, Northeast and Metro Atlantic.

There have been 19 different team winners over the past 33 Navy Spring Invitationals. The University of Pennsylvania heads into this year's competition as the defending champion.

In its most recent action, Emory finished ninth out of 15 teams at its Spring Invitational (Apr. 1-2) at the nearby Druid Hills Golf Club.
