The Emory men's golf team completed first-round action at the 34th annual Navy Spring Invitational on Saturday. The 36-hole event is being played at the 6,611-yard, par-71 Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland.
Junior Alec Berens posted Emory's top score of the day with a five-over par 76, good for a 29th-place tie out of 105 players. Sophomore Alex Wunderlich was next up among for the Eagles with a 76 while junior Jonathan Chen and senior David Collura rounded out the team's scorers with each carding an 80. Will Roth checked in with an 85.
Evan Beck of Wake Forest and Mac McLaughlin of Virginia are tied for the top spot on the leader board with each firing a one-under par 70.
